Itinerary

Arrive at the airport and meet your driver guide, or be picked up from your hotel if you’re already in Uganda. Begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest conservation area. The 5-hour drive takes you through the historically significant Luwero Triangle and Nakasongola district. Enjoy a stop in the lively town of Luwero to experience local market life and purchase fresh fruits like pineapples, oranges, and mangoes. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park and embark on an evening game drive to spot wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeests, and warthogs. Check into your lodge for the night.

Start your day with an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, where you might see elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and leopards. After lunch, take a scenic boat cruise on the Nile to the base of the thunderous Murchison Falls. This boat trip offers excellent opportunities to view hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, including the African fish eagle and malachite kingfisher.

After breakfast, drive to the top of Murchison Falls for a breathtaking view of the world’s most powerful waterfall, where the Nile River forces its way through a narrow gorge. Next, head to Budongo Forest for chimpanzee trekking. Begin with a briefing at the forest's entrance before venturing into the jungle to observe chimpanzees, with whom we share 98% of our DNA. Enjoy up to an hour with these fascinating primates as they feed, groom, and interact. Return to your lodge for lunch and relax for the remainder of the afternoon.

Check out of your lodge after breakfast and drive back to Kampala. En route, visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino trekking experience. Learn about the sanctuary's efforts to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda and have the chance to see these impressive animals up close. Continue to Kampala, have lunch, and then transfer to Entebbe International Airport or a local hotel, marking the end of your Murchison Falls adventure.
